Paradise Found: Spectacular Beauty at Florida’s Thirty-One on 30A

Here’s to the New Year! Before we welcome 2019, let’s take a moment to reflect on the past twelve months. 2018 was a year to remember, full of inspiring projects, warm-hearted friends, bucket-list travel…more moments to treasure than we can possibly count! One of the year’s most exciting reveals was Thirty-One on 30A, a remarkable beachside residence in pretty-as-a-postcard Seagrove, Florida. Rena Anderson, an interior designer at Barbara J Gordon Designs, takes us behind the design of this desirable coastal destination.

Home to twenty-seven Gulf-front residences, Thirty-One is perfectly placed on Florida’s iconic 30A beaches.

Sunsets wash over Seagrove, Florida like watercolors on a canvas, the opalescent sky streaked with brilliant emerald, azure, and seashell pink. Beside 335-feet of pristine, private beach, Thirty-One residents enjoy a front-row view of this nightly performance. Completed in August 2018, Thirty-One on 30A was developed by Regal Development Group LLC, constructed by Yates Construction, marketed by Premier Property Group and designed by DAG Architects. This creative collaboration resulted in a “luxuriously modern” structure at water’s edge, surrounded by an iconic, upscale Gulf Coast community.

Each elegant residence is appointed with luxurious amenities. Rena Anderson says, “The space was designed for a buyer of discerning taste wanting a more contemporary aesthetic”. Far from beach bungalows, each “exquisitely appointed” three- and four-bedroom residence boasts high-end appliances from Wolf and Sub-Zero, spacious floorplans, unrivaled ocean views, and private elevators “affording each homeowner a sense of security and privacy”. Community amenities include the enclosed and gated parking garage, private owners lounge with service kitchen, fitness center, swimming pool, summer kitchen, and outdoor fire pit.

Anderson loves that Thirty-One’s architecture and design is well-integrated with the breathtaking landscape. She explains, “Reece Hoopes and Fincher, our landscape architect, created an environment that blended with the natural surroundings of the dunes and coastal vegetation…it was important that the transition from each space maintain that sense of ease through the furnishings.”

Seaside Living with Summer Classics Contract

With such a grand exterior, it’s no surprise that Thirty-One called for a grand array of outdoor furnishings––six different Summer Classics Contract collections, to be exact, each product fulfilling a “specific need for a desired space”. Conversational areas have a combination of pieces from the Rustic, Ella, and Club Aluminum collections. Club and Charleston Aluminum series chairs, tables and umbrellas were used in the dining areas. Around the fire pit, Anderson opted for Club Adirondacks, and around the pool selected Skye Collection chaises, splash tables and the Sedona Collection daybeds & ottomans. “In keeping with our more contemporary aesthetic, we were looking for a line of outdoor furniture that appeared more modern in design, but would hold up to the rigors of commercial use and salt air exposure,” she says.

With nearly all Thirty-One residences currently occupied, it seems the best is yet to come for this coastal community. Through winter, spring, summer and fall, residents will enjoy the temperate climate and outdoor amenity areas. “Whether the family is grilling on the upper deck, enjoying a warm fire around the fire pit or simply sunning at the pool,” Anderson shares, “life at Thirty One on 30A was created to be full of ‘life’s best moments’ where families will build lasting memories for years and years to come.”
